Location, Ways of Access
The Padis tourist area is located in Romania, in the Apuseni Mountains, on the Northern part of the Bihor Mountains. Administratively, Padis is located in the South-Eastern part of Bihor County, at about 10 km East of Pietroasa village.
The region is crossed by a 53 km long forest road Rachitele- Ic Ponor - Padis - Boga - Pietroasa:
- Rachitele - Ic Ponor 21 km
- Ic Ponor - Padis 10 km
- Padis - Pietroasa 22 km.
Both ends of this forest road are on county roads (Huedin - Rachitele 27km, a partly modernised road and Sudrigiu - Pietroasa 12 km, asphalt road). The best route for access to the Padis area is Oradea-Huedin-Rachitele-Ic Ponor-Padis.

Padis is situated 100 km away from Oradea (through Sudrigiu-Pietroasa) and 136 km away from Cluj. You can reach Cluj and Oradea by plane (Budapesta), train, car or bus.
